The World’s Agenda

I have mentioned that I have been teaching a course on world religions to a youth group and tonight we finish up with a session on Secular Humanism. Now, I know at first you may not think that Secular Humanism is a religion, but it most definitely is without any doubt. After all, it is a system of belief that tries to make sense of the world around us and our purpose in it. That, by very definition, is a religion.

As I was preparing for the class tonight it amazes me to think about just how far the Secular Humanist worldview has penetrated our culture and society. It is in everything. It is in the television programs that we watch. It is in our politics. It is in our schools, especially in our schools. It is in our courts.

We see Secular Humanism rear its head each day this week as we watch the protests demanding the right to kill and murder unborn babies. We saw it a few weeks ago as a football coach has to fight for his right to pray. Secular Humanism is a real and present danger.

And this is the agenda of the world. Secular Humanism puts forth propaganda. It lies about creation. It lies about science. It lies about history. It lies about Christianity. Why? Because they want to destroy God and anything that has to do with God. They cannot and will not rest until God has been completely eradicated from society. That is what their belief necessitates.

And isn’t this exactly what the power of this world wants? Isn’t that his goal?

But praise be to God we know that he does not win. It may look like he is winning, but we know he suffers ultimate loss. We need to keep preaching the truth, keep our heads on the Savior, and know that this too will pass.

Interesting to start out with the lie that secular humanism is a religion. Sorry, us secular humanists don’t worship a god or gods, so religion, in the sense of your religion, Christianity, isn’t happening.

Secular humanism is a worldview and philosophy, much like Stoicism, Epicureanism, etc.

It seems quite likely you have no idea what secular humanism actually is. It’s making sure that religion is not forced on others, and considering that humans are important, rather than the Christian nonsense that humans are nothing more than filthy rags.

Considering that your god, per your bible, has no problem in killing children, as opposed to fetuses, for the actions of others, we can see that there is no fairness or justice in Christianity, only obedience to a tyrant. That Christians have no problem with such things is notable.

As for that football coach, his name is Joesph Kennedy, you seem to intentionally misrepresent the story. The football coach was not “fighting for his right to pray”, he was fighting for the right to force his religion on others, praying in public on the 50 yard line. Now, hmmm, didn’t your supposed messiah say something about praying in public so you get attention? Oh yes: “5 “And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. 6 But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6

“It lies about creation. It lies about science. It lies about history. It lies about Christianity. ”

where and what are these supposed lies? Or are you simply bearing false witness?

Thank you for your response. A few items. Yes, secular humanism is a religion. Religion does not have to be the worship of a God. So in the broader sense, yes, it is a religion and no, I did not lie about it.

I am fully aware of what Secular Humanism is. And it is not making sure that religion is not forced on others, in fact, you try to force your religion on others by bringing your belief system, such as evolution, into the schools.

It is a strawman argument to say that Christianity says humans are nothing more than filthy rags. Humans are made in the image of God and are his prized creation.

As far as your attack on God, you really need to study some more because you misrepresent the Bible.

Joseph Kennedy was not misrepresented in my piece. He was not forcing anyone and to claim that is an outright lie.

As far as the lies. Evolution is a lie. The science of evolution does not exist. It lies about origins (history). And, your comment has proven, it lies about Christianity.

        Hello David,

it’s always amusing when a Christian evidently thinks he needs to claim secular humanism, or atheism, as a “religion”. Alas, it isn’t and we can just look at a dictionary to see that to be the case. In this case, no, it isn’t in the broader sense that secular humanism is a religion. You want to claim Christainty and secular humanism are equivalent and they are not. You use the term religion as worshipping some supernatural nonsense. As we both know, that isn’t the case with secular humanism. You did indeed lie, aka make a false claim for your benefit.

I do wonder, why you think you need to claim everyone is like you and has to have a “religion”?
You demonstrably have no idea what secular humanism is, but you certainly try to invent a strawman version of it. And alas for you, evolutionary theory is not a “belief” but an established fact. You benefit from that fact every time you use modern medicine or eat modern food stuffs.
It is not a strawman argument at all that Chrsitianity says that humans are filthy rags. Let me quote your bible to you: “We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy cloth.” Isaiah 64 Did you think I could not look up the verse in the bible? Romans 3 is also notable in saying that all humans are “sinners” when that only comes in with your god blaming everyone for the actions of two, which it also promises not to do in Ezekiel 18. Funny how that works.

Yep, your bible does say that humans are made in the image of this god, and Christians can’t agree on what that even means. Funny how this god broke its own supposed morals to condemn this “prized creation” by its own incompetence in the garden.

I don’t misrepresent the bible at all, and it is notable that you cannot demonstrate that I do.

Joseph Kennedy was misrepresented in your piece, since you chose to not mention what the case was actually about and not that the coach couldn’t pray. You also have chosen to lie that he wasn’t forcing anyone to pray. He is an authority figure that required his players to pray. Even Judge Kavanaugh admitted that this was a problem “Every player is trying to get on the good side of the coach, and every parent is worried about the coach exercising favoritism in terms of the starting lineup, playing time, recommendations for colleges, et cetera.” Kennedy’s lawyer, Paul Clement, has already admitted that Kennedy has led prayers for students, holding up the helmets of the two opposing teams at midfield and audibly praying, and inviting supporters and legislators onto the field. That is illegal. Students can do what they want, teachers can’t.

Now, you’ve been told the facts of the case. You can either ignore them and keep lying or not. Which will you choose, since you can’t plead ignorance.
Evolutionary theory exists and has been demonstrated many times as being what happens to biological entities in response to pressures in their environment. We have plenty of fossils, including transitional ones that demonstrate this happening in the past, and experiments that show this happening now. Biology as a science of which evolutionary theory is part, shows that the myths of Christianity are not true, and Christians themselves try to invent ways to interpret their myths to make them fit with reality better, though they still fail. There is no evidence of a magical “creation” of everything as we see it now. We also see no evidence for other essential events in the bible, no magical flood, no exodus, no dead Jew resurrecting and many others resurrecting too, etc.

I actually did use the dictionary for my definition of religion. : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith. Secular Humanism absolutely fits that bill.

The theory of evolution, referring to macro evolution, not micro adaptations, is not established fact. That is a bold lie. Show me any proof that you may have. You don’t have any.

And yes it is strawman to say Christianity says humans are nothing but filthy rags. The text you quoted said the DEEDS are filthy rags. That’s not the person. And we are like one who is unclean. Because in our sin we are unclean. So no, I know you can look up verses in the Bible and completely take them out of context as you have shown. So yes, you misrepresent the Bible as I have said.

As far as Kennedy, it is you who seem to want to twist the facts. Of course that is a staple of secular humanism. There is nothing wrong with leading prayer for students as long as is was not required or forced. It is not illegal to invite people to do things with you. Teacher’s don’t lose religious rights. Surely you believe that right?

You haven’t told me facts, just your spin

Transitional fossils? Please. There is so much in the fossil record that debunks evolution it is not even funny. And yes, there are evidences for almost all of the events in the Bible, including the flood and the Exodus. And yes, there is also historical evidence for the risen Jesus.
